MEN’S GOLF WINS ARIZONA INTERCOLLEGIATE AGAIN

Congratulations to Arizona Men’s Golf for winning their fifth straight Arizona Intercollegiate on Tuesday in spectacular fashion as Christian Banke’s final putt on the final hole of the tournament clinched a one-shot victory over New Mexico. The team posted an impressive 35 under par as Christian won the individual title at 14 under par.

Another win at their home event is just the most recent achievement for our reigning Pac-12 champions. Coach Anderson and the team continue to compete as an elite program of national caliber and with pride. It’s a testament to the consistency, preparation and excellence that our student-athletes, coaches and staff showcase every time they go.

Excitement surrounding Arizona’s 2022 softball season has reached new heights as the program sets a new subscription record. Hillenbrand Stadium is an iconic venue and marquee environment in which our student-athletes can compete. MEN’S BASKETBALL AMONG THE BEST IN THE NATION

Coach Lloyd and the Wildcats wrapped up a three-game road trip, picking up two wins. Ranked No. 3 in the nation with an impressive 16-2 record, Arizona men’s basketball is off to a terrific start. The team returns to the friendly grounds of the McKale Center this weekend when they host Arizona State at 12:30 p.m. (MST) Saturday afternoon. It will be a red output to McKale for this game, so pack your best red Wildcat gear for Saturday. Want to meet the recruiting class of 2022 announced by Arizona Football? Coach Fisch and the program are hosting a special National Signing Day event at 6 p.m. MST on Wednesday, February 2 inside the Cole and Jeannie Davis Sports Center. Arizona Football has the best recruiting class in the Pac-12 and top 20 in the nation with many of those newcomers already on campus this semester.

WOMEN’S HOOPS SCAN THE MOUNTAINS

The Wildcats’ convincing wins over Utah and No. 21 Colorado at McKale Center last week showcased Arizona’s women’s basketball excellence and our first-class home environment. We hosted over 14,000 of college basketball’s top fans for the pair of games and the energy in the building was electric. We want to thank you all for your tremendous support of our program and for creating a dominant advantage on the pitch!

Coach Barnes and the Wildcats will face UCLA tonight in a rescheduled game ahead of their prime-time televised matchup in Palo Alto with No. 2 Stanford at 2 p.m. (MST) on Sunday, January 30 on ESPN2.

LOGGING TEAM CHALLENGE SUMMARY

The trip from Arizona Track & Field to Flagstaff last week was productive as the team won four events in the second indoor competition of the season. The Wildcats dominated the women’s high jump with a podium sweep by Talie Bonds, Alexa Porpaczy and Diana Ramos. The program also had victories from Trayvion White-Austin in the 60 meters, Tanner Hagstrom in the men’s 600 meters and Alisa Lyesina in the women’s 600 meters.

Congratulations to our student-athletes, coaches and staff for competing with pride and representing Block A with honor. Our indoor schedule is starting to ramp up with shared competitions, as we will be competing in six competitions between now and the Pac-12 Invitational on February 25.

In addition to the home opener against Grand Canyon, the home schedule during conference games will see Oregon State, Arizona State, UCLA and Stanford all pay trips to the Hi Corbett Field this season. HISTORICAL VICTORY OF MEN’S TENNIS

Hats off to Men’s Tennis No. 14 Arizona for the historic loss to No. 3 Texas this weekend at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center in front of a crowd of fans. The win over the Longhorns was another milestone achievement for our program as it continues to cement its place as a national powerhouse and a program of true excellence.

Coach Shields and the Wildcats hit the road for games against Prairie View A&M and Texas Tech and potential games with UCLA and Texas A&M at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in College Station, Texas. Good luck Wildcats!
