Paramount+ continues to expand its global presence with the announcement of two international launch dates
NEW YORK/CANNES, October 18, 2022: Paramount+, the global streaming service of Paramount Global (NASDAQ: PARA, PARAA), today announced that the service will arrive in France on December 1, followed by Germany, Austria and Switzerland on December 8. Audiences in both regions will have access to a mountain of family-friendly entertainment featuring new and exclusive Paramount+ Originals, hit shows and blockbuster movies across all genres from Paramount’s world-class brands and production studios. , including Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, SHOWTIME® and Smithsonian Channel ™ .

Paramount+ Global Originals that will be available on the platform include TULSA KING, starring Sylvester Stallone as New York mob capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi, just after he was released from prison after 25 years and exiled unceremoniously by his boss to settle in Tulsa, Oklahoma; 1923, the next installment in the “Yellowstone” origin story starring Oscar® nominee Harrison Ford and Oscar® winner Helen Mirren, which introduces a new generation of the Dutton family; and STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS, based on the years when Captain Christopher Pike led the USS Enterprise.
Among the kids and family titles are iconic favorites like PAW Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants, plus ICARLY, based on the original hit sitcom, following the original influencer Carly Shay and her friends as they navigate between work, love and family in your twenties; BIG NATE, a new animated series about a sixth-grade kid who has an endless need to prove to the world that he’s awesome; and the reboot of RUGRATS.
The service will also offer a strong lineup of local content in both regions. Over time, audiences will discover titles such as MASK: MARIE ANTIONETTE SERIIAL KILLER, an 8-hour young adult fantasy horror thriller; LE SIGNAL (THE SIGNAL), a mystery based on the best-selling novel by Maxime Chattam; and LE STADE, which follows the Stade Toulousain rugby team facing the most ambitious challenge in its history.
Audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be invited to enjoy series such as DER SCHEICH, the eight-part story of a one-of-a-kind con artist by award-winning filmmaker Dani Levy; THE CHEMISTRY OF DEATH BY SIMON BECKETT, a gripping crime series based on the acclaimed bestselling novels about forensic anthropologist Dr. David Hunter; A THIN LINE, a series of eco-cyber thrillers; KOHLRABENSCHWARZ, based on the mystery audio drama series of the same name; and the sixth season of the popular Nickelodeon series, SPOTLIGHT.
When launched in France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Paramount+ will be available online, on a wide range of connected TV devices via distribution via Apple, Amazon, Google, Samsung, Roku, mobile devices and Moreover. Paramount+ will also launch on Sky platforms in Germany and Austria under a new multi-year distribution deal. Thanks to this agreement, Sky subscribers with Sky Cinema will have access to Paramount+ content at no additional cost, and the standalone Paramount+ application will also be launched on Sky Q.
