Facial star Shani Darden’s favorite skincare products
Famous beautician Shani Darden is a Hollywood cult. Clients like Jessica Alba, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Shay Mitchell and January Jones rely on her to keep their skin glowing. With a studio in Beverly Hills and an eponymous skincare line, Darden has become an authority on skincare.
After training with a Hollywood dermatologist, Darden brought this knowledge of the skin to her advanced facial treatments. “With my facials, I do everything,” Darden says. Incorporating LED light therapy, micro-currents, ultrasonic vibration therapy, and premium skincare, her personalized facials are results-driven and why her own skincare routine is super easy.
She loves LED treatments — and just launched the new Shani Darden by Déesse Pro LED Light Mask, which is a redesigned, FDA-approved version of a previous high-performance mask she made with the company — but otherwise wants her skincare to be simple.
“I won’t do anything where I have to work hard,” Darden says of the convenience of the mask. With 10-minute timed treatments for anti-aging, acne or pigmentation (in red, infrared and blue wavelengths) and a neck attachment, the mask allows you to get a strong dose of LED therapy. “I like to use it at night, as there have been allegations of [LED] help with sleep anxiety, but you can use it whenever you want,” shares Darden. “You just want clean skin and then follow up with the rest of your products afterwards.”
Although the mask is the newest addition to Darden’s skincare routine, she has a tight selection of trusted products that she seeks out. Here, the facialist shares her seven daily favorites.

The beautician starts her morning and evening skin care with this gentle cleanser from her own line. “You’ll never have to worry about it stripping your skin again,” she says. It contains hyaluronic acid and oat bran extract to help keep skin plump.

Darden uses this vitamin C serum in her daily morning routine to help with her melasma. It’s packed with antioxidants to protect skin from free radicals, with the brightening benefits of L-ascorbic acid (one of the most active forms of vitamin C).

“It’s SPF 50, but like an all-in-one and I’m done,” says Darden. This sunscreen allows the facialist to keep her skin care minimal at the start of the day, combining the hydrating and sun protective steps of her regimen.

At night, Darden follows her cleanser with this invigorating essence that contains sake water to soften the skin and sebocytin to control oil.

To keep skin glowing and combat dullness, Darden’s AHA Lactic Acid Exfoliating Serum keeps pores free of dead skin. It is gentle enough for everyday use and leaves skin feeling softer.

One of Darden’s best-selling products that has gained a cult following among her celebrity clientele, the facialist uses her retinol reform when her skin needs a boost. It will alternate between AHA Lactic Acid Exfoliating Serum and Retinol for anti-aging benefits such as firming and brightening.

This hydrating serum completes Darden’s simple routine. It contains hyaluronic acid and plant stem cells to boost hydration and fill in fine lines. For summer skincare, Darden says those with oily skincare stop their regimen here. “You can just use hyaluronic acid serum as a moisturizer,” she recommends.
