My cleansers

I always clean my skin twice at night. I use the Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm to remove all makeup. And then for a cleanser, I’ll use the Clear skin probiotic cleanser of Eminence. It’s really great for balance and it doesn’t leave my skin super dry. It’s a probiotic cleanser that I found right after doing the skin cleanse, and I liked it because I noticed the irritation didn’t come back after using it. I have been using this one since.

In the morning, I usually wash my face with water. Especially if I have oil from the night before, I’ll just pat my skin. I’m just going to splash water on my face, probably five times, where it feels like I’m cleaning my skin. But I don’t use a washcloth. I just use my hands. He leaves the oil on the face from the night before, so my skin still looks great.

my tonic

I like Hamamelis from Thayers, because it’s amazing for anti-inflammation. When I was researching all the irritations I had at the time, a lot of anti-inflammatory products came up, and that’s how I found Thayers. I am very careful with the products I put on my skin for this reason. This is an alcohol-free formula; it’s really hard to find witch hazel without alcohol so I was interested to try it. I love using a toner before the serum because it feels like it really preps my skin. It also kills acne causing bacteria so I have my 14 year old daughter Jadyn using it too.

My serums

I love face serums and oils, these are my favorites. They are probably the majority of my skin care wardrobe. Right now I love using the Cloud Jelly Herbivore Plumping Hydrating Serum. And I also like the Versed Clarifying Serum. The plumping hydration that I love in the morning because I don’t care too much about the hydration in the evening as I use the facial oils. But in the morning I try to use more moisturizing serums because I don’t use oil after my morning serums.

My face oils

I don’t use moisturizers on my skin; I use facial oils. I don’t know if it’s a mental thing, but I feel like the moisturizers are clogging my skin. I did not go back after doing the skin cleansing. I feel like it’s more for if you really need hydration. I don’t use anything that says “face moisturizer”. If it says oil, I will use it.

Right now I’m rocking between the Honey Graal Ultra Moisturizing Face Oil by Farmacy. I like this. It smells incredible. I really like it True Botanicals Pure Radiance Oil. This one is so beautiful, and the smell is really great too. If it smells too bad, I won’t be able to use it.

It’s the Super Skin Tincture Ilia Beauty– it has an SPF 40. My daughter also uses it for her base. I really want to make sure she wears sunscreen at school so she wears it and she loves it too because it’s almost like a tinted moisturizer in a certain way. I like it before my foundation because it has that hydration, but with the zinc it’s not a pasty white sunscreen. I love that. I also like the Suntegrity 5 in 1 Moisturizing Sunscreen. It depends on which one I didn’t miss because I go through them quite quickly.

I’ve been trying to be good with sunscreen since middle school because in high school I would tan my skin. I was lying in the sun and wasn’t very aware of it, but my mom had two precancerous spots on her stomach removed. It freaked me out a bit. I also started to research prevention and just use sunscreen every day. I will never tan my skin with just regular sun again. If anything, I’ll be using a sunless tan, but at the beach I’m completely eclipsed by the sun all over my body. My daughter thinks I am a freak. She says, “Mom, I put on sunscreen. I’m fine. “But I’m like,” Don’t burn your skin. “

my eye balm

I don’t use eye cream, but I really like this stick from Tula, the Brightening eye balm. I like it because I can use it before my makeup. Also, I just noticed that my eyes are much more swollen now with a baby from lack of sleep. And with breastfeeding too, sometimes I feel like I just need to drink more water, but I just feel bloated in the morning, so I’m going to put this on and then I’m going to do my makeup. A few hours later I’ll put it back on top if I go somewhere or need a little pick-me-up. This is good because it has that cool feeling and it contains caffeine.

My LED light

When I do breakouts I will just use my blue LED light and not put anything else on my face. The Dr. Dennis Gross LED light is what I love most about any acne because it kills the bacteria that cause acne. My daughter is doing it now too, so she got into the routine where she was like, “Can I borrow your light mask?” I feel like my skin needs a refresh.

My “retinol”

I don’t use retinol because during my pregnancy I stopped using it, just because I didn’t want to have anything that would irritate my skin because I knew my skin was going to be even more sensitive. I discovered that Herbivore had a alternative to retinol. It’s supposed to help smooth and renew the skin but without the retinol irritants so I still use it about three times a week.

My lip balms

I like Summer Fridays a vanilla. I also like the Agave Night Mask by Bite Beauty.

my masks

Due to COVID, I got out of my facial routine. I ask for little maintenance when it comes to facials in general. I don’t really prioritize them. If I had an extra hour I would get my nails done instead of having a facial. I really like having masks at home that feel like I’m in a hair salon, but without having to go anywhere, especially with a newborn baby too.

I really like the Clarifying mask with blue tansy of Herbivore. It is so good. I’m obsessed with it. And I also like the Tata Harper Clarifying Mask. These two make me feel like I have this exfoliating treatment and it feels like a salon treatment at home
