Amul’s recent “Ominouscron” doodle raises concerns about the virus variant; Urge people to wear a mask
After a long battle with the two waves of COVID 19 and just when we thought the hard times were over, the nation was hit by yet another tremor. A new variant of the deadly virus has been detected in the country now, known as Omicron. While two cases of Omicron were detected in Karnataka and Gujarat respectively, Delhi also recorded its first case today. It was reported that a 37-year-old man who had arrived from Tanzania has tested positive for the new COVID variant.
Needless to say, the increase in Omicron cases worries everyone. In the midst of this, Amul, who is known to share original doodles, shared a new doodle illustrating the concern over the new COVID variant. In the doodle, Amul’s daughter was seen sitting in a chair wearing a mask and looking worried as the new virus appeared from behind. While the doodle perfectly captures the concern over this virus, it also urged people to be sure to wear their masks. The doodle was captioned “Ominouscron!” and the message was captioned as follows: “#Amul Topical: A new variant of the virus is emerging …”.
